Medved Trader Documentation

System Requirements

Medved Trader requires the following system resources:

• Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit), macOS High Sierra (or later), or Linux Ubuntu 18.04 (or later)
  • For a seamless experience, it is recommended to use at least 16 GB of RAM and a quad-core processor.
• CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64
  • For best performance, it is recommended to use a GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM.
• Storage: At least 1 TB of SSD storage (solid-state drive)
• Network Connectivity: A stable internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps
• Browser Compatibility:
  • Medved Trader supports the following web browsers:
    • Google Chrome (version 78 or later)
    • Mozilla Firefox (version 67 or later)
    • Microsoft Edge (version 79 or later)

Installation Guide

To install Medved Trader, follow these steps:

1. Download and Extract
   • Download the Medved Trader installer from our official website.
   • Run the downloaded file and select the language you prefer during installation.
   • Follow the prompts to extract the files to a directory of your choice.

2. Configure Environment Variables
   • Set the MEDVED_TRADER_HOME environment variable to point to the installed directory.
   • Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the Java installation directory.

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64

3. Run the Installer
   • Run the installer script with the sudo command to install Medved Trader.
   • Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

sudo medved_trader_installer.sh --install

Common Installation Issues and Solutions

• Error: "Java is not installed"
  • Solution: Ensure that Java is installed on your system. You can download and install Java from the official Oracle website.
• Error: "Failed to connect to database"
  • Solution: Check that the database connection details are correct in the medved_trader.properties file.

Configuration Files

After installation, you will need to configure Medved Trader for optimal performance. You can do this by editing the following files:

• /opt/medved_trader/conf/medved_trader.properties
• /opt/medved_trader/logs/medved_trader.log

These files contain configuration settings and log files, respectively.
