Overview

System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit), macOS High Sierra (or later), or Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Installation Guide

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Download the Installation Package: Visit the FactSet website and download the installation package for your operating system.
2. Run the Installer:

Windows

installer.exe /quiet /install

macOS

installer.dmg /silent /install

Linux

sudo ./installer.sh /quiet /install

3. **Accept License Agreement:** Review and accept the license agreement during the installation process.
4. **Choose Installation Location:** Select the installation location for FactSet on your system.

#### Common Installation Issues and Solutions:

*   **Error: "Installation failed due to insufficient disk space."**
    *   Solution: Ensure that there is enough free disk space (at least 10 GB) before proceeding with the installation.
*   **Error: "Failed to connect to database. Check your network connection."**
    *   Solution: Verify that your internet connection is stable and functioning properly.

#### Post-Installation Configuration:

1.  Create a new configuration file (`factserset_config.json`) with the following content:

Replace `localhost`, `5432`, `factserset_user`, and `factserset_password` with your actual database credentials.
