Installation Guide

Prerequisites

1. Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements listed above.
2. Install the required dependencies using pip:

pip install --upgrade transformers Pillow opencv-python matplotlib scipy

3. Download the NExT-GPT installation package from the official website.

Installation Steps

1. Extract the installation package to a folder of your choice (e.g., C:\NExT-GPT on Windows or /usr/local/NExT-GPT on macOS/Linux).
2. Run the following command to initialize the database:

python init_database.py

3. Configure the NExT-GPT settings by editing the config.json file:

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Solution: Increase the connection timeout value in config.json (e.g., timeout: 30).

Post-Installation Steps

1. Create a sample dataset by running:

python create_dataset.py --data_type text

2. Train the NExT-GPT model using:

python train_model.py --model_type next_gpt --data_type text

Technical Architecture
